All-On-X is the umbrella term for full-arch implant treatment, where a full set of upper or lower teeth rests on a small number of implants instead of on your gums. The X stands for how many implants hold the arch, most often four. Each implant is a titanium post placed in the jawbone, and over a few months the bone grows tightly around it.

What to Expect During All-On-X Treatment
Consultation and 3D Scan
We start with a full exam and a 3D cone beam scan, which takes seconds and shows the exact depth, width, and density of your jawbone along with where the nerves and sinuses sit. You see the same images we do. By the end of the visit, you know whether All-On-X is realistic and what your arch would look like.
Treatment Planning
Using your scan, we map the position and angle of every implant before you ever sit down for surgery. The back implants get tilted to catch denser bone, which is often what removes the need for grafting. We also design your temporary arch in advance, so it is ready the day you need it. Nothing gets decided in the moment.
Placement Day
You arrive, sedation begins, and you settle in. Nitrous oxide, oral sedation, or IV sedation is available depending on what keeps you most comfortable. We place the implants according to the plan and secure your temporary arch the same visit. Most people are surprised how little of the day they remember, and you leave with teeth in place.
Healing and Fusing
Over the next few months, bone grows tightly around each implant and locks it in place. You wear your temporary arch throughout, eating softer foods early on and gradually adding more. Long-Term Healing
